The 20th Peter Dvorský International Music Festival will be open by an opera concert, that is dedicated both, the 100th Anniversary of Founding of Czechoslovakia and the Festival Anniversary itself. In a symbolic way three leading tenors from the Czech Republic, Slovak Republic and Austria have been invited as the main stars of the concert.

He gradually created a unique collection of thirty historical vehicles that documents elegance and technical precision of BMW. The famous melodrama Ariadne on Naxos by Georg Anton Benda from 1775 is based on Ovidius story about a Cretan Princess, who helps the Greek hero Theseus to defeat monstrous Minotaur. Beside the ancient myths two chamber works by Antonín Dvořák and Josef Suk will be on the programme.

This year celebration of the Czechoslovak statehood will culminate by Beethoven’s well-known work, his last finished symphony, which became famous thanks to Schiller’s “Ode to Joy”. The dance and light performance in finale will evoke feelings of joy and happiness in all of us.
