19th Peter Dvorský International Music Festival

Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 8 pm Jaroměřice nad Rokytnou – Chateau Park
Opening Concert    Ekaterina Monisova (Russia) – soprano  Giordano Lucà (Italy) – tenor  Moravian Philharmonics Olomouc conductor Sebastiano Rolli (Italy)    According to the tradition of last years the successful Italian conductor invited for the opening of the festival opera stars from abroad. The laurate of Plácido Domingo’s World Opera Competition Operalia and promising Russian soprano will perform arias and duets from Norma, Rigoletto, La Traviata, Werther, La Bohème and Madama Buttefly.     Ticket price: 350 CZK

Cantatas from Baroque Naples    Baroque Ensemble Hof-Musici Eva Kolková – soprano  Veronika Mráčková Fučíková – mezzosoprano Ivo Michl – bass baritone  Rozálie Kousalíková – Baroque violoncello Marek Kubát – theorbo Ondřej Macek – cembalo, artistic leader    Let us invite you to Naples in the period, when its name in the music world was a synonym for Baroque cantata. With music performed on period instruments and using the period style the prestige ensemble will present works of less or more known authors connected to music society in Naples in the first half of the 18th century.     Ticket price: 200 CZK

My Homeland …   Renata Ardaševová – piano  Igor Ardašev – piano    Cycle of symphonic poems My Homeland by Bedřich Smetana or Slavonic Dances by Antonín Dvořák belong to treasures of the Czech symphonic repertoire. Although both works became world known in their orchestra versions, we will listen to selected parts from four-hand versions of both compositions in the interpretation of Mr. and Mrs. Ardašev.    Ticket price: 200 CZK

Due to bad weather forecast the concert will be held in Hotel Castle Valeč (big hall). The concert will start at 8.30 p.m.    Close Encounters    Zora Jandová – vocal Esther Mertová – vocal   František Segrado – vocal   Zdenek Merta – piano Josef Štěpánek – guitar Petra Malíšková – violoncello    Compilation programme by Zora Jandová and Zdenek Merta has been formed for many years thanks to inspirations by folklore, classical and pop music of the 20th century. The programme consists mainly from author songs by both main interprets and French chansons by Edit Piaf.     Ticket price: 300 CZK

Don’t expect dancing or any competition on the stage. On example of vocal transcriptions of master works from 17th to 19th century as well as European folk songs shows the performance that human voice is sometimes able to express author’s ideas much more persuasively that music instrument.    Ticket price: 250 CZK

Mysterious messenger, who commissioned the composition and the fact that Mozart died before finishing his work moved among others Miloš Forman to focuse on grim and romantic story about death of the most gifted music composer of all ages.     Ticket price: 300 CZK
