Opening Concert    Kateřina Kněžíková – soprano  Ioan Hotea (Romania) – tenor  Moravian Philharmonics  Conductor Sebastiano Rolli (Italy)  Delicious music menu consisting from opera arias by Gioacchino Rossini, Vincenzo Bellini and Gaetano Donizetti will be offered by both soloists, the winner of last-year Placido Domingo’s World Opera Competition Operalia in London and soloist of the National Theatre in Prague.   Ticket price: 350 CZK*

Romance for Flute and Harp    Kristina Vaculová – flute Ivana Švestková-Dohnalová – harp Duet of flute with the most elegant string instrument will sound in peaceful atmosphere of the Baroque hall. Two gifted musicians were inspired by authors from all historical periods including Christoph Willibald Gluck, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Gaetano Donizetti as well as composers of the 20th century.       Ticket price: 200 CZK*

Perhaps an essential part of each opera libretto are amorous emotions. Rendezvous with Radka Fišarová   Radka Fišarová – vocal  Aliaksandr Yasinski – accordion Ondřej Kabrna – piano Miroslav Linka – guitar Jan Greifoner – double bass  Ondřej Sluka – percussion   Songs by Charles Aznavour and Mireille Mathieu, melodies from movies The Troops of St. Tropez, Animal or Amelie from Montmartre, but also Czech chansons and own pieces will be part of the Czech-French concert programme arranged by “Czech Edith Piaf“ Radka Fišarová.     Ticket price: 300 CZK*

Chateau Concert in Dukovany   Pavlína Švestková – soprano Chamber Choir of the Czech Philharmonic Choir of Brno  Chorus master Jan Ocetek   By the concert at the courtyard of the late Baroque chateau expands the festival to a new concert venue. Lately renovated building has inspired the world famous ensemble to choose a cappella pieces from its wide choir repertoire.    Ticket price: 250 CZK*

Thursday, August 18, 2016 at 8 pm Castle Valeč (near Hrotovice) – Main Courtyard
Songs from Semafor   Jitka Molavcová – vocal  Jiří Suchý – vocal Orchestra of the Semafor Theatre  Bandleader Jiří J. N. Svoboda    The legendary Semafor Theatre was a starting point for wide range of Czech singers and actors in 1950s. No wonder that the most famous present duo of the theatre Suchý – Molavcová is coming back to workshop of Suchý and Šlitr from 1960th. Apart from that, you can hear many other songs from elderly and newer plays of Semafor.     Ticket price: 350 CZK*

Beethoven’s The Ninth   L. van Beethoven: Symphony No. 9 in D minor, Op. 125   Eva Hornyáková – soprano  Lucie Hilscherová – alto   Michal Lehotský – tenor  Jozef Benci – bass Czech Philharmonic Choir of Brno  Chorus master Petr Fiala Czech Virtuosi, artistic leader Karel Procházka  Conductor Jakub Klecker       Design Jaroslav Štolba Realization Flash Barrandov    Beethoven’s last finished symphony became famous mainly due to Schiller’s “Ode to Joy”, which Beethoven set to music in the last movement of his work.
