During his career he has conducted over 160 orchestras on 4 continents including the most prestigious ones (Boston, New York, London, Berlin, Vienna) with which he also performed at renowned festivals (Luzern, Tanglewood, Edinburgh, Vienna, Montreux), and cooperated with principal opera houses (La Scala Milano). He participated in realizations of countless recordings which he made during his conducting career primarily for Delos, Koss, Sony, EMI, Decca, Deutsche Grammophon or Supraphon. One of his significant stations was that with New Jersey Symphony Orchestra in 1993-2002. Between 2003-08 he was the principal conductor of Czech Philharmonic Orchestra.
